Last weekend I headed over to Almost Famous to try their current burger offerings. Specifically, two burgers that are limited edition:
Suns Out Buns Out and the Frickin Hell Mann (with Hellmann’s Real Mayo and Hellmann’s Smoky BBQ Sauce)
The latter is only available for a few more days, but I believe they have other collabs with Hellman’s in the making. So if you don’t catch this one, you can catch the next.
It’s a gigantic, messy, dirty burger and to be honest, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Having smashed my Saturday morning HIIT circuits, I was more than ready to devour this beast of a burger. Piled high and including a ‘skirt’ of melted, then hardened cheese, smoky bbq pulled pork, fried pickles, mac n cheese and a super succulent, pink beef patty it was a challenge. The flavours, however, were on-point, even if you do need to rope in some help from that old, trusted friend, a fork.
But I must say, it was the ‘Suns Out Buns Out’ that really wowed me. Here is a video of me thoroughly enjoying it:
Slightly smaller, so easier to manage, but still utterly filthy and delicious. The meat was so tender, tasty and juicy and the bun is topped with a sticky, spicy chicken wing too. This beast also comes with a chance to win a trip to Ibiza! So get on it before we say goodbye to Summer, until next year.
On the side, we also munched on their chicken Marmite ‘blasts’ and bacon fries. Both lush, even if the Marmite blasts were intense. Probs, not the best side to go for with these two EPIC burgers, but Marmite is my one true love so I couldn’t resist.
