Ever heard of Pub in the Park? It’s a food-meets-music festival set up by none other than Michelin starred, TV-chef Tom Kerridge. In 2018 it’s coming to Knutsford, so here are all the details you need to sign-up for first-release tickets and see what and who is gonna be cooking!
With a tagline like “Gourmet Food, Cracking Music, Lush Vibes” what’s not to love?!
What is Pub in the Park, Knutsford? When’s it on?
It’s exactly what it says on the tin: an event involving pub food, in a park, in Knutsford. Live music, gourmet food, chef demonstrations and I’m pretty sure the drinks will be flowing too.
Tom Kerridge brings his two Michelin-starred pubs to each event and his chefs will be cooking up all sorts of gourmet scran for us to try. He also invites a selection of other local pubs to come along too, giving them the opportunity to showcase their best dishes!
This year the event is visiting Marlow (where it all began), Bath, Tunbridge Wells and Knutsford. The Knutsford leg will be at the Tatton Estate (where the Foodie’s Festival and RHS Flower Show is held). It will run from Fri 7th – Sunday 9th September! So fingers crossed for some sunshine!
Knutsford: Chefs and Gastro Pub Pop-ups
So who’s gonna be cooking at the Knutsford event? Feast your eyes on this lot:
The Coach Inn and The Hand and Flowers; both Tom’s Marlow pubs which have proved incredibly popular over the years. The H&F was Tom’s first pub and in 2011 became the first ever pub to receive two Michelin-stars. The Coach Inn earned it’s own Michelin-star last year. Both focus on gourmet, proper pub food!
The Hardwick a lush, gourmet pub in South Wales.
The Church Inn, as a previous Mobberley resident this is my favourite pub in the area. It’s laid back but still classy and has the most incredible wine selection. The food is always top notch too! Amazing to see such a great local pub in the line-up.
The Star Inn a country pub located in North Yorkshire with Michelin-star status too!
As for the chefs on the line-up, there will be live demos from top UK chefs including Tom Kerridge, Paul Ainsworth, James Mackenzie, Angela Hartnett, and Candice Brown. You can read the full line-up here.
The music: who’s playing?
The music line-up is pretty sweet too! Across the three days, there’ll be music from Razorlight, Tom Odell, Melanie C, Scouting for Girls, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and more.
